Benefits

What can Reflexology do for you ?

The Benefits

It is scientifically proven that touch encourages the release of the hormone ‘oxytocin’ which is known to improve mood, negative behaviours, aid in pre conception, birthing, lactation, act as an anti inflammatory and aid healing processes in the body, amongst others... As a result, there are numerous conditions and lifestyles that Reflexology may support...

Reflexology may

  • Influence our coping mechanisms in this busy modern world by providing deep relaxation

  • Support people who are managing chronic or terminal health conditions e.g pain management

  • Support fertility, conception, maternity and the post natal period

  • Support women going through the menopause

  • Support with the effects of neurological conditions e.g. Bell's Palsy & Migraine

It is very common for NHS and Private Hospitals to have midwives trained in Reflexology now and for visiting Reflexologists to provide support in Hospices, Oncology, Palliative Care units.

In particular, I have a special interest in Spinal Reflexology, Supporting Conception and Maternity.

Who can benefit?

  • Many types of professionals – especially if they need to sit, stand a lot, work movements are repetitive or have very physically / mentally demanding jobs

  • Couples (for conception, maternity & post natal support)

  • Babies

  • Children

  • Families - many families request Reflexology home visits for all the family

  • The Elderly

If you would like to book an appointment but have any medical concerns or questions, please email or telephone me first. Always consult your GP or Specialist before embarking on Reflexology treatments.
