Hand Reflexology

Another fantastic alternative, especially if you have conditions that mean your feet cannot be treated or for those that have arm and / or hand conditions. Again, the reflex points mapped on the hands are stimulated and massaged using finger and thumb pressure point techniques.

 

A popular choice for those who are short of time or simply don’t like having their feet touched.

 

More suitable for babies, children, elderly, or if your mobility is in some way restricted.

Foot Reflexology

Involves applying a range of pressure techniques, using fingers and thumbs onto mapped reflexes derived from a combination of zone (western) and meridian (far eastern) theory. Really helps to alleviate stresses and strains. Especially beneficial if you are on your feet all day, sitting all day at a desk or suffer from mobility issues. ​

Products used

As a nod to where I grew up and also to where I now live, I use Ireland's gorgeous organic, eco friendly and bee loving 'Flying Wild' brand reflexology balms (unscented and various pre blended essential oil options depending on your needs). They plant a tree with every order I place.

 

If it's an oil medium you prefer, I also love to use Castle Farm in Kent's beautiful lavender massage oil. Or Tisserand's organic grapeseed massage oil.
