What is Reflexology?

"It's more than a foot massage..."

Reflexology is a non-invasive, highly relaxing therapy that uses different pressures and massage techniques, using fingers and thumbs, on various mapped reflex points. Treatments can be carried out on the Face, Hands and Feet.

Working these reflex points - believed to correspond with different organs, tissues and glands of the body - can enable a better flow of energy through the body by releasing built up toxins. Essentially, facilitating the whole body to rebalance and harmonise.

Like with any therapy, the more treatments received, the better the chances of obtaining maximum benefit. However, one off, treatments can also provide a deep sense of relaxation and help to de-stress the busiest of minds and bodies.

Rebalance and Harmonise

Traditional Chinese Medicine Meridian theory and Western Zone theory form the way Reflexology is practiced today. Variations and hybrids of these pressure point theories have evolved through the centuries and at a rapid rate in more recent years.

Many research programmes have been carried out and are on going, in order provide solid scientific evidence of its benefits to clients e.g. Pain Management of various pathologies.
